My inspiration comes from nature-landscape and the human form. This is important for the figurative as well as the abstract work I do. I am naturally well aware of the history of art and admire countless painters.

I have made artworks in many media and techniques, When younger I was particularly interested in sculpture. Now it is mostly painting and photography with some digital art also. I don’t know anyone who produces digital work quite like my own.I have worked in silverpoint, encaustic, watercolour, tempera, gouache, oils, acrylics and pastels; just about everything except  fresco. You can see more of my photographs here.

My photographic work has been used in websites and in books. These include the catalogue of the Ford Madox Brown retrospective at-Manchester/Ghent. Also in the recent Shire publication on Georgian Garden Buildings.

In the North-East I have had many solo and group exhibitions.A Journal article about my most recent exhibition can be found with this link
